Well, what can I say. Blogs rock. Seriously, people just think of blogging as a "chat room" or some kind of conversation going on between people. But there is alot more than that going on...A blog basically IS a website, they really aren't any different, but it's a website with a CMS (content management system) that if you had customized, would cost you thousand of dollars to do. Believe me, I know, I create CMS's all the time! Not all CMSs are created equally...but as far as a blog, it basically lets you manage the content of what is on the site from a form based website that auto updates what you enter.

I just attended a Seminar on Blogging, by Susan Getgood of Getgood Marketing which was really great.
She made alot of interesting points about Blogs and how they can help promote your business agenda.
Some of the benefits of Blogs included maximizing search engine optimization by using keywords in the blog, creating a community of people interested in your topics, Blogs make it easier to update your web content because they are simple to use (easier than updating html pages) and Blogs are an inexpensive form of promoting your topic.
Overall, I thought it was a great intro seminar. She also touched on a few other topics regarding Podscasts, Webinars and RSS. We can talk about those later! I'm just getting started here, we will have more postings on Blogging. In the meantime check out Susan's Blog!
